In the new documentary film from acclaimed filmmaker Michiel Thomas, friends reminisce on the lives and deaths of Gemmel Moore and Timothy Dean, two Black gay men who died at the hands of West Hollywood politico Ed Buck. Included in the final credits of the film is a new track from House of Bezz Original Productions by music artist JayBezz – “I Matter” featuring Tish Nixon. LaTisha Nixon is the mother of Gemmel Moore. The poignant recording offers her personal recollection of her son.
The track was recorded to express the complicated emotions and situation amidst the tumult while fighting for Justice for Gemmel and Tim.
House of Bezz Original Productions included the track with the permissions of Ms. Nixon, but has not yet released the track while legal proceedings regarding this case are proceeding in court at her request.
